If you did not graduate high school, you are not eligible to receive federal financial aid (Pell Grant, SEOG, and/or student loans) until you meet the above 24 credit hour distribution, TASC, or Regents-TASC, and receive your High School Equivalency Diploma. To get your HSE diploma, you must send your transcript to the state.

If you were homeschooled, you would need to provide Admissions with a letter from a Superintendent saying that your diploma is substantially equivalent to graduating from their district.

You must take an Ability to Benefit (ATB) placement test and meet the minimum scores in order to be eligible for the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), Aid for Part-Time Study (APTS), or Excelsior Scholarship.
